Fazer Konfektyr Service, the Swedish confectionery unit of Fazer Group, has announced that it will delist its shares from the Stockholm stock exchange.

The move follows the demerger of Cloetta Fazer, when Fazer Konfektyr become a subsidiary of Finnish food maker Fazer Group, and the unconditional tender offer by Oy Karl Fazer Ab of Fazer Konfektyr Service shares on 5 December.

“The board reached this decision because the company has only a small number of shareholders and trading in shares is very limited,” a spokesperson for the company told just-food.

A formal application to de-list will be submitted and the last day of trading of Fazer Konfektyr Service’s class B shares will be announced at a later date.
