Swiss meat processor Bell Group said today (30 November) that the chairman of its executive board had decided to quit for personal reasons.

Adolphe Fritschi has asked to leave his post with immediate effect, Bell said.

The company’s board has appointed Lorenz Wyss, an executive at Swiss retailer Coop, to replace Fritschi. Wyss has spent 15 years at Coop and was most recently head of category management for fresh products and food service at the retailer. He will join Bell in April.

Between now and April, Bell will be managed by Martin Gysin, who holds the two roles of deputy chairman of the company’s executive board and CFO.
