Swiss cooperative Migros has received approval from its members to implement a project that will see the retailer begin to display on-shelf prices.

Representatives of regional cooperatives, which met at their annual gathering on Saturday (28 March), approved the proposal by an overwhelming majority, Migros said.

Migros found that, while customers appreciate on-pack pricing, on-shelf pricing is also seen as a valuable tool, as consumers are able to identify and compare prices quickly and easily.

The scheme will be implemented over the next two years, the company said.
