Nestle has recalled pizza sold under its Wagner and Buitoni brands in a number of European markets and Canada after consumers found metal pieces in a product.
The Swiss food giant said today (11 December) two shoppers in Germany had found metal in the Backfrische pizza.

Nestle has recalled all the pizza made for the two brands in its German factory between June and November.
Wagner pizza on sale in Germany, Austria and the Benelux countries has been pulled. Nestle has also recalled pizza sold under the Buitoni brand in France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Canada.
“We have not received any other similar complaints but to avoid any risk whatsoever to our consumers we have decided to recall the entire production of these two pizza varieties made in our German factory between June and November 2012,” Nestle said.
In Germany, Austria and the Benelux countries the pizzas being recalled have best-before dates between March and November 2013.
