Frits van Dijk, the head of Nestle’s operations in Asia, Oceania, Africa and the Middle East, is to retire from the business in September.

Van Dijk, who has spent 41 years at the Swiss group, will be succeeded by Nandu Nandkishore, a deputy executive vice president at the company responsible for the Nestle Nutrition division, the world’s largest food maker said today (15 April).

Nandkishore’s replacement will be Kurt Schmidt, regional business head for Nestle’s infant nutrition and “responsible for the co-ordination” of Nestle Nutrition in North America, Nestle said.

Both Nandkishore and Schmidt will join Nestle’s executive board.
