Swiss grocer Coop has announced a series of senior executive changes, with Joos Sutter to succeed Hansueli Loosli as managing director of the retailer.
The retailer announced on Friday (1 April) that the appointment will be effective 1 September, and comes as Loosli has been appointed as chair of the retailer’s board. Loosli is also chairman of telecoms company Swisscom.
Phillpp Wyss will also replace Jurg Peritz as head of retail, as Peritz retires in 2012, while his current role as head of sales for central Switzerland will be taken over by Roger Vogt.
Coop has also appointed Daniel Stucker as director of the Import Parfumerie/Christ jewellery brands. He will join the board of directors.
He will be replaced by Andreas Frischknecht, who is currently director of building and hobby. It has appointed Erich Mäder as his replacement.
The company said that it was “pleased” it has been able to recruit for the board roles internally.
