Switzerland’s biggest retail cooperative Migros has taken a 30% share in the family-owned wholesale business of Cash & Carry Angehrn (CCA).

The acquisition will not affect any of CCA’s current investment programmes or any its current 300 staff.

The present owners, Martin and Thomas Angehrn, will remain in charge of a delivered wholesale food operation that supplies foodservice and local retailers across the country. For Migros, the deal will complement the existing home bulk delivery network of Migros Scana SA.
