The Leader Price chain, to be opened in existing Big C stores, will act as a series of sales outlets for the company’s house-brand products.
Big C’s executive vice president for operations, Alan Nementzik, explained that there are currently about 600 different house-brand products at Big C and their emphasis on value for money gives them strong growth potential within Big C’s total range of 60,000 products.
“We are extremely proud of our house-brand products, and 99% of them are manufactured in Thailand,” he told The Nation.
In terms of when the Leader Price outlets will become operational, Nementzik explained: “We will apply the “Leader Price” store concept to Thailand once we have a full range of house-brand merchandise.”
