Thai convenience store operator CP All posted posted a 43.3% increase in second-quarter profit due to store expansion and better same-store sales.

The operator of the 7-Eleven network in Thailand booked THB1.77bn (US55.4m) in net profit for the quarter.

CP All reported revenue of THB34.62bn, a 21.2% increase but added that total costs and expenses increased at a slower rate due to improved margins in food and non-food, as well as a good control of SG&A expenses.

Compared to the second quarter of 2009, the company has increased the number of outlets it operates by 9.9%. Its estate numbered 5,511 stores at the end of the quarter.
