TreeHouse Foods plans to combine the go-to-market operations of its Bay Valley Foods and Flagstone Foods operations in order to "realise the full potential of marketing the company's portfolio".
In an announcement yesterday (18 March), TreeHouse said that Christopher Sliva, president of Bay Valley, will take direct responsibility for the joint go-to-market sales activities for both organisations. He will focus on building an organisational structure that will “enable TreeHouse to leverage the two distinct sales organisations, TreeHouse said.
As such, Sliva has been promoted to chief operating officer and will report in to chairman, president and CEO Sam Reed.
Paul Lapadat, who has led Flagstone since its formation in 2010, is leaving the company. CFO Dennis Riordan, will assume the additional role of interim president of Flagstone Foods, having led the integration efforts since the purchase of the company in July last year.
"Chris has done an outstanding job of establishing a single, cohesive strategy throughout the Bay Valley Foods organisation since joining our TreeHouse nearly three years ago. Chris will provide on-going leadership around our go-to-market activities, while Dennis will lend his integration experience and operational oversight to Flagstone Foods, as we continue to build our growing snacks platform," Reed commented.
