US private-label giant TreeHouse Foods has confirmed William Kelley is its new permanent chief financial officer (CFO).
Kelley has been doing the job on an interim basis since November when he replaced Matthew Foulston, who has left the company to pursue “other career opportunities”.
Illinois-based TreeHouse, the largest private-label packaged food manufacturer in the US, said Kelley had been elected to the role by its board of directors. He also becomes an executive vice president of the company.
Steve Oakland, CEO and president of TreeHouse Foods, said: “Bill is a wonderful asset to our organisation, and I’m very happy to congratulate him on this appointment. Having worked more closely with Bill over the last few months, his passion for our business and his collaborative approach with the organisation are apparent. I’m convinced that my partnership with him, coupled with his thought leadership and experience, are the right fit to continue driving TreeHouse forward.”
Kelley joined TreeHouse in 2016 as corporate controller and was promoted to senior vice president, corporate and operations finance in 2018. Prior to joining TreeHouse, he was head of global audit for Kraft Heinz.
TreeHouse is currently undergoing a restructuring programme – TreeHouse 2020 – announced in 2017, which is intended to make the business more competitive by improving profitability and accelerating growth.
