US-based burger behemoth McDonald’s is set to invest US$13m in the United Arab Emirates. Since the fastfood chain entered the country in 1994, only 20 restaurants have been built.
Regional director Rafiq Faqih said that the money has been earmarked to build ten new outlets, which will be situated in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. The new McDonald’s will be open to the public by the end of next year, he added.
