The company said today (11 March) that turnover for the six months to 31 December reached GBP33.5m (US$67.6m).
EBITDA was up 16% to GBP4.6m, while pre-tax profits rose 25% to GBP3.3m.
“Our results this half, demonstrate the breadth, robustness and dynamism of the Group we are building,” said Glisten chief executive Paul Simmonds. “We are benefiting significantly from our acquisitions in savoury snacking and have seen some excellent developments within our bar and confectionery businesses.”
In November, Glisten bolstered its roster with the acquisitions of Snacks Unlimited and The Lindum Snack Company.
The deals, for a combined GBP1.5m, came two months after a brace of acquisitions, Dormen Foods and Skinny Candy.
Glisten is set to launch a slew of products this summer. SunMaid fruit fingers will be introduced in May and a range of Skinny Candy products into the “better-for-you” confectionery category will also be unveiled, the company said.
