Speculation has centred on the possibility that US rivals Kraft or Hershey could come forward as possible bidders, while chewing gum giant Wrigley is also viewed as a prospective predator.


 


However, when contacted by just-food Cadbury refused to be drawn on the issue, stating that the rumours were “purely speculative”.
