UK cake maker Anthony Alan Foods has revealed a portfolio of Weight Watchers cakes that will be launched in time for Christmas.

“Christmas may be a time of indulgence but many consumers are still on the look-out for healthier options. Retailers who ignore them are turning business away,” said Sarah Morgan, marketing director of Anthony Alan Foods, which makes a range of lower fat cakes under the Weight Watchers brand.

The Weight Watchers cake portfolio for Christmas 2005 features four festive products: Christmas Cake Slices, Mini Yule Logs, Mince Pies and an individual Christmas Pudding.

Each Weight Watchers mince pie contains 148 calories and 2g saturated fat, while each Christmas Cake Slice contains 136 calories and 0.4g saturated fat and each Mini Yule Log has 89 calories and 1.8g saturated fat. The individual Christmas Pudding contains 0.8g saturated fat and 233 calories.

Anthony Alan Foods has also launched a Chocolate Mini Roll, which contains 3.8g of fat and 90 calories.
