Baby food firm Plum Inc is rolling out a range of meals aimed at children aged over a year in the UK.
Plum, formed after UK firm Plum UK merged with US peer Plum Organics earlier this year, said the Plum Tots Little Foodies line was its first to be developed “specifically” for children over 12 months.
The range contains four meals including a Caribbean jerk mango and chicken with Wholegrain Rice, as well as Moroccan lamb tagine with apricots and bulgar wheat.
Scott Wotherspoon, who headed up Plum UK is now chief executive of Plum Inc’s UK arm, said: “We believe in the importance of eating highly nutritious food from the outset and we’ve always been committed to setting babies on a course for a healthy future from the very first bite by creating first-class wholesome food using the very best organic and super-nutritious ingredients. We spotted a gap in the market to do the same for tots over one and are excited to be bringing this new range to parents across Britain.”
The meals will be available in UK multiples from the end of this month at an RRP of GBP2.25 (US$3.43).
The launch means more choice for parents looking for ready meals for toddlers. UK firm Little Dish has a range of meals, including fish pie and chicken and butternut squash pie, aimed at children over one.
