Bakkavor has revealed plans today (31 January) to expand its Caledonian Produce site at Bo’ness, West Lothian to meet seasonal demand.
A company spokesperson told just-food that it plans to expand the site to “ensure it has sufficient capacity to meet the seasonal capacity that comes with producing salad products”.
The site produces prepared vegetables, convenience salads and ready meals.
The spokesperson added that talks are under way regarding time-scales, but that it was too premature to say how many jobs would be created through the development.
