The UK’s Big Food Group, which owns UK frozen food retailer Iceland, has reported a 3.6% slide in like-for-like sales in its fiscal fourth quarter to 28 March.

Fourth-quarter sales at its Iceland stores, which contribute 25% of group sales, slid 3.4%, while sales at wholesale chain Booker fell 4%.

Big Food Group, which reported a similar fall in group like-for-like sales in the third quarter, said the group was making steady progress at a time when the market has slowed.
