Branston, the UK potato supplier, has restructured its development division, appointing Vidyanath Gururajan to the position of group head: development & projects.

The company said that it decided to restructure its development department because of the continued growth of the business and increased levels of investment in innovation.

Vidyanath will focus on innovative best practice across all areas of Branston’s operations and will be responsible for the coordination of operational capital projects, the company said.

Vidyanath will also chair the group environment forum, charged with the task of reducing Branston’s carbon footprint.

Vidyanath was formerly Branston’s development projects manager and was responsible for improving the operation and supply chain.
