Fastfood company Burger King International, a subsidiary of US fastfood firm Burger King, has announced the appointment of Andrew Brent as chief marketing officer, effective 15 April.


Brent will report directly to Nish Kankiwala, Burger King International’s president, and will be a member of the Burger King International executive leadership team.


This is a newly created role based at the company’s International Restaurant Support Center in Uxbridge, located just outside of London.


Brent has worked in a number of international marketing roles in the UK, Continental Europe and Asia, most recently spending six years in Hong Kong with Asian retail and manufacturing conglomerate A.S. Watson. Brent has also held the position of marketing director of UK frozen food chain Iceland, and has also worked for consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble in the UK and Europe.
