Cadbury is permanently relaunching its Wispa chocolate bar at the beginning of October.

Following a consumer campaign on the internet calling for the return of Wispa, the company relaunched the bar on a trial basis last autumn.

According to Cadbury, during this test-run 20m bars were sold in only seven weeks.

“We can now confirm that there will be no more limited editions for Wispa,” Kate Harding, Cadbury trade communications manager said. “We have listened to our consumers and will be bringing Wispa back for good.”

Cadbury said that dedicated point of sale marketing will highlight the relaunch of Wispa, which is targeted at the impulse sector.
