Cadbury has launched its first ad campaign for Dairy Milk chocolate in the UK since it switched the brand to Fairtrade certification earlier this year.

The UK confectionery giant, which had success with its ‘Gorilla’ campaign in 2008 when it used Phil Collins’ ‘In The Air Tonight‘ as a soundtrack, has this time created its own music single.

Cadbury has joined forces with Ghanaian pop star Zinny to launch a track and music video for ‘Zingolo‘. The video was shot in Ghana with local cocoa farmers and dancers.

Phil Rumbol, marketing director for Cadbury, said: “We wanted to celebrate Cadbury Dairy Milk’s Fairtrade certification and Ghana, the heart of our Fairtrade cocoa, in a unique way. We hope we’ll bring a smile to people’s faces.”

Fairtrade Dairy Milk will go on sale in Canada next summer and the company also plans to roll out the product in Australia and New Zealand.
