UK confectionery and soft drinks giant Cadbury Schweppes is to celebrate the 100th birthday of its major chocolate brand Dairy Milk in 2005.

Cadbury plans to launch a major marketing campaign focusing on “100 years of happiness”, reported The Grocer.

The company recently grouped several of its confectionery brands, including Wispa and Caramel, under the Dairy Milk brand, which now has annual sales of around £320m (US$574.4m).

“2005 is set to be the biggest 12 months in Dairy Milk’s history and we are aiming to touch the lives of everyone in the country with our celebrations, from Dairy Milk fans of all ages to our retail customer partners,” marketing director Louise Cooke was quoted by The Grocer as saying.
