The Production Kitchen has launched a range of high quality handmade canapés under the Canapeum brand as part of its expansion programme into the food service and hospitality sectors.


Managing director David Hyde, said: “We have already proved ourselves to the airline industry with an established customer base in the ‘first class’ flying sector. We are now ready to expand and offer companies in the food service sector an opportunity to serve the very best canapés.”


The launch has been timed to coincide with the installation of a unique freezing operation at The Production Kitchen’s facilities, which are based in West London. The freezing operation has been specifically developed for a product as small and delicate as a canapé, and means the extensive Canapeum portfolio includes both chilled and frozen canapés, offering a longer shelf life if necessary and allowing ease of distribution in the UK, Europe and US.


The canapés are developed by chefs who use the latest food trends and innovations, and all the ingredients are selected from a handful of suppliers.


With the capacity to produce up to 12,000 canapés in one day, The Production Kitchen is well placed to expand into a new sector of the food industry.
