UK: CJ Lang and Son in talks to buy fellow Scottish Spar retailer
CJ Lang and Son, the owner of Spar UK's Scottish business, is in talks to buy AM Landsburgh (St Andrews), which runs ten Spar stores in Dundee and Fife.
CJ Lang and Son, the owner of Spar UK’s Scottish business, is in talks to buy AM Landsburgh (St Andrews), which runs ten Spar stores in Dundee and Fife.
Spar UK, the local arm of global symbol retailer Spar International, said today (5 April) that “both parties are working towards concluding a deal by the end of April”.
CJ Lang, Scotland’s largest independent wholesaler, already owns and operates 95 Spar stores. Its estate will grow to 105 should the acquisition of AM Landsburgh go through.
