Dairy Crest, the UK’s largest dairy processor, is investing GBP2m (US$3.2m) at a dairy in Derbyshire.
The money will be used to improve facilities and extend cold storage to increase capacity at the site in Dove Valley Park in Foston.
The investment at Foston is part of a three-year GBP75m plan to improve Dairy Crest’s dairies throughout England.
A spokesperson said: “Foston is an integral part in our fresh milk operations and we are committed to maintaining the site as a cutting-edge, modern, streamlined dairy.”
She added that the improvements will not affect employee numbers. The site employs around 120 people.
