Dale Farm said it has bought Parmalat’s dairy processing unit situated in Kendal, in northern England, for an undisclosed sum, reported Reuters. The Kendal plant, which has turnover of around £30m (US$57.4m) per year, makes Losely and Lakeland Maid products.
The deal is part of Dale Farm’s plan to invest £20m in its manufacturing operations.
