Danish Crown’s Tulip arm has entered the branded sausage category in the UK.

The Fuller Flavoured Sausage Company range, Tulip’s first range of branded sausages, includes pork and toulouse flavours and is made with British farmed meat.

The products are “premium” 80% meat sausages, made using freshly ground spices and a crusted breadcrumb, the company said.

A spokesperson said Tulip is “concentrating on taste”, which the company believes other sausage makers have neglected.

Telle cherry peppercorns from India and Anglesey sea salt are some of the ingredients sourced to make the sausages.

MasterChef winner and former England rugby player Matt Dawson is promoting the range.
