UK dessert manufacturer Gu has launched a range of cookies in its domestic market.

The range includes three varieties – chocolate, chocolate and sour cherry and chocolate and caramel.

The cookies are baked in-store and are available through Asda outlets, the company said. The products will be available in Tesco from next month.

The line will be sold in packs of two cookies for GBP1.09 (US$1.71).

Gu was founded in 2003 and earlier this year the company’s management sold a majority stake in the business to Noble Foods, the UK’s largest egg producer.
