UK desserts maker Pots & Co. has announced moves into France and Switzerland as it forecast its annualised sales will more than triple to GBP10m (US$12.2m) by the end of 2016.

Pots & Co., which is sold at grocers in the UK including Tesco and Waitrose, is looking to grow its business outside its domestic market.

The company said today (17 October) it had secured listings in France at Carrefour, with another retailer, Franprix, set to stock its desserts next year.

Pots & Co. has also secured a listing with Swiss retailer Globus.

In the Netherlands, Ahold Delhaize’s Albert Heijn chain is to increase the distribution of a range of Pots & Co. products after a five-week trial with the retailer.

Founder and CEO Julian Dyer said: “It is fantastic to experience this level of expansion across Europe, as there’s a clear international appetite for excellent-quality puddings. In 2013 we turned over GBP150,000, in 2014 this had risen almost ten-fold to GBP1.4m, in 2015 GBP3.2m. We now expect annualised turnover to hit GBP10m by the end of 2016. We have ambitions to continue growth in the global market and have extended our factory size and production line accordingly, to ensure all our Pots are made to the same Michelin-standard.
