Duchy Originals, the organic and sustainable food company established by The Prince of Wales, and actress Elizabeth Hurley are to collaborate on a range of organic foods.
The products, which will launch in October, will include pork, poultry, lamb and rare breed beef currently sold at local farmers’ markets, as well as organic grains harvested at the Hurley’s farm.
She will be supplying Duchy Originals with organic seasonal poultry and recently harvested her first organic grains.
“His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is an inspiration to me because of his passionate belief in organic food and farming and his unwavering commitment to help protect and sustain the countryside,” said Hurley. “I feel honoured to be working with Duchy Originals and am extremely excited about the products we are developing together.”
Andrew Baker, chief executive of Duchy Originals added: “We are delighted to have the chance to work with Elizabeth Hurley on this exciting project. We love that she is so passionate about healthy, nutritious food and we believe that every Duchy Originals/Elizabeth Hurley product will epitomise our Good Food Charter: is good, does good, tastes good.”
Duchy Originals, founded in 1990 to promote organic food and farming, sells more than 200 typically UK foods, with all profits going to charity.
