Traidcraft, a UK company dealing in “fair trade,” products, has launched two new energy bars and a new biscuit.


GeoActive, which carries the Fairtrade mark is a 40 gramme bar suitable for vegetarians which comes in mango, and cashew and pineapple flavours. Its ingredients include golden syrup made with sugar from Malawi, mango from Burkina Faso, cashews from India and pineapple from Uganda.


“GeoActive is specially designed to provide nutritious energy for people on the go,” says Traidcraft. “They are perfect for anyone who runs, walks, works out or enjoys an active lifestyle – plus they contain delicious fair trade ingredients.”


FairBreak, which will be available in Waitrose stores from mid-March, is a chocolate covered wafer biscuit made with sugar from Malawi and cocoa from Ghana.


Traidcraft plc’s sales are worth more than £12 (US$22.6 million) million a year.
