Banbury-based herbs and spices producer Fiddes Payne has released a new range of products for sale in the country’s multiples.
Fiddes Payne has earned a reputation for developing innovative products and packaging within the herbs and spices sector, and since Chris White bought out the company in 1993, the re-designed range has become available in the major UK multiples as well as independent food retailers.
This month, Fiddes launched several new spice products. A co-branded effort with top class chef Anton Mosimann has produced Mosimann’s Spice Mills and the company also released a range of three Sea Salt with Herbs mixtures for the table and kitchen. New refillable Grind Fresh spice mills, which are also available as organic blends, have also reached the shelves of all the leading multiples.
The company is also about to release three Finest Saffron products, in corked glass jars to appeal to the top end of the market; Sargot from Iran, Saffron from Kashmir and Spanish Saffron from La Mancha.
This autumn, Fiddes Payne has branched out into the home baking market with a new range of sweet cake decorations. Aimed at both commercial cake manufacturers and the home cake maker, Magic Miniatures are small animals shaped from sugar and they come ready to use. A complimentary range of Festive Fun miniatures is aimed at the Christmas home baking market, with sugar snowmen and polar bears decorations.
A new range of re-usable natural Vanilla Pods, packaged in resealable metal cartridges, has also been released to be used at home as flavouring for ice-creams, cakes, custards and puddings.
“We have been delighted with the response to our new products,” said the company”s Alison Vyse told just-food.com.
Currently supplying retailers in the UK, Europe and across the Middle and Far East, White anticipates that turnover at Fiddes Payne will increase by over 300% in the next 18 months.
