Findus has launched Findus Crispy Bites, its first product aimed specifically at children in the UK.

The frozen food brand has said that the range will include two flavours, Sausage & Bean and Pepperoni & Mozzarella.

Findus Crispy Bites will be rolled out at Asda stores in mid-March.

The rights to Findus across Europe is split between more than one entity. In the UK, the brand is owned by Geir Frantzen, who bought the business from private equity firm EQT in 2005.

In Scandinavia and parts of central and Eastern Europe, Findus is owned by Foodvest, the private equity-backed business that also owns Young’s, the UK’s largest seafood business.
