McCambridge Group’s former own-label cake division has a new name – Bright Blue Foods.
The company has changed its name from McCambridge Foods, which was created after the sale of McCambridge Group’s private-label cake assets to NBGI Private Equity last year.

The name, the company said, reflects “the business’ aspiration to apply fresh thinking and innovative solutions to the cakes and pastries category”.
“Bright Blue Foods is a progressive identity for our new business to reflect our commitment to NPD and thinking outside of the box with regards to bakery innovation,” said chief executive Andrew Johnson. “We are planning expansion and investment both in the UK and in Poland and the future is looking bright.”
Bright Blue Foods operates four bakeries in the UK and one in Poland, producing a broad range of cakes and pastries for leading retailers.
