French condiments firm Delouis is in talks with UK multiples to secure listings for a range of three mustards.
The company, which has listings with Sainsbury’s and Waitrose for other lines, has developed a Moutarde de Dijon, a Moutarde à L’Ancienne and a Moutarde à la Provençale for the UK.
Chloe Agache, brand manager for Delouis’ UK importer Bespoke Foods, said the mustards should appeal to “adventurous” consumers looking for new ingredients.
“These traditional styles of mustards are great as a condiment with a multitude of dishes, but can also be used to transform sauces, gravies, dressings, marinades and crusts to provide subtle nuances and that famous depth of flavour French cuisine was built on,” she said.
The Delouis brand secured its first UK listings ten years ago with Waitrose. The company has revamped the packaging for its entire range to “strengthen the brand’s positioning [and] target new consumer groups”.
