The UK’s Food Standards Agency is preparing to carry out a review of the effect of climate change on food production.
The study is part of a wider plan called The Cross Cutting Themes Programme, which aims to deal with issues that fall across the agency’s remit.
The regulator’s chief scientist will oversee research into the reduction of foodborne disease and the risk to consumers from chemical contamination of food.
The agency is currently advertising for researchers to carry out the review.
