General Mills has signed an agreement with British crisps and snacks manufacturer, Golden Wonder to make and distribute its Bugles savoury snack in the UK. General Mills will provide £5m of marketing support while Golden Wonder will invest about £3m in new manufacturing equipment at its Corby factory. Golden Wonder underwent a £156m secondary buy-out by Bridgepoint Capital, a private equity firm, six months ago. In 1995 its management staged a buy-in from Dalgety.
