UK: General Mills in alliance with UK snack manufacturer
General Mills has signed an agreement with British crisps and snacks manufacturer, Golden Wonder to make and distribute its Bugles savoury snack in the UK. General Mills has signed an agreement with British crisps and snacks manufacturer, Golden Wonder to make and distribute its Bugles savoury snack in the UK. General Mills will provide £5m of marketing support while Golden Wonder will invest about £3m in new manufacturing equipment at its Corby factory. Golden Wonder underwent a £156m secondary buy-out by Bridgepoint Capital, a private equity firm, six months ago. In 1995 its management staged a buy-in from Dalgety.
