Irish food producer Greencore Group today announced a new structure for its business operations following its purchase of UK based Hazlewood Foods.

The £258 million deal completed in January this year has led to the closure of Hazlewood’s Derby head office making 42 people redundant. Hazelwood’s operations will be split into four decentralised groups covering groceries, chilled foods, prepared meals and international business. Greencore’s Paramount Foods pizza business will be integrated into the new Hazlewood structure.
