Hain Celestial has expanded its Linda McCartney range of vegetarian foods as the meat-free brand sees a 20% rise in year-on-year sales.

The new range, to be launched in multiple retailers, independent grocers and health food outlets across the UK at the end of the month, includes Falafels, Vegetarian Roast, Chicken Style Burgers and Veggie Roasties.

Falafels are a first for the brand delving into the snack market and are made with chickpeas, broad beans, lemon, coriander and spices. The product is sold in a biodegradable bag.

The Vegetarian Roast with sage and onion stuffing is a “meat free alternative for family Sunday roasts”, the company said today (20 October).

The Chicken Style Burger is presented in a ciabatta bun with iceberg lettuce and tomato, or topped with mozzarella and basil, along with a sour cream and chive potato salad.
