Heinz is adding two products to its canned pasta range, Numberetti spaghetti and Dora the Explorer pasta.

Based on its successful Alphabetti spaghetti brand, Numberetti spaghetti is aimed at providing food that brings educational fun to the meal table.

In addition, Numberetti spaghetti will also contain multigrain pasta recently introduced across Heinz’s spaghetti canned pasta portfolio.

“If the success of Alphabetti is anything to go by, Numberetti spaghetti will be just as big a hit with mums and kids,” said Nathan Ansell, senior brand manager, Heinz Pasta Meals. “Mums understand that the Heinz canned pasta range is healthy and nutritious as well as quick, convenient and easy and the introduction of multigrain pasta across the whole range will provide further reassurance. Kids also love it, which means that mums can be sure of clean plates.”

The company added that Dora the Explorer was the fifth biggest selling kids TV brand behind the likes of Winnie the Pooh, Disney Princess and Thomas the Tank Engine, and would therefore be “instantly recognisable” to children.
