Heinz is launching a new look ketchup bottle that will be easier to recycle, the company said today (7 April).
The food giant has said it will sell its iconic tomato ketchup in a new plastic bottle. The label will picture a plump tomato on a vine.
“It’s still the same ketchup recipe,” a spokesperson for Heinz told just-food. “We’ve just given the bottle a makeover.”
By switching to a lighter material, Heinz said it will save 340 tonnes of plastic annually.
