Ketchup giant HJ Heinz is launching a new range of herb and spice infused tomato purees this month.
The Heinz Tomato Puree range includes four flavours – Heinz Plain Tomato Puree, Heinz Tomato Puree with Garlic, Heinz Tomato Puree with Chilli and Heinz Tomato Puree with Mexican Spices.
The purees are designed to make it easier for consumers to cook popular family dishes such as spaghetti bolognese and chilli con carne, the company said.
“Mums increasingly want to cook family meals from scratch during the week, and sometimes need a helping hand to use the right herbs and spices, without compromising on natural, quality ingredients,” Lynsey Hurst, Heinz senior brand manager, ingredients, said.
Heinz is also repackaging Heinz Chopped Tomatoes, Heinz Tomato Frito, Heinz Passata and Heinz Whole Peeled Tomatoes.
