IGD is delighted to announce that Iain Ferguson of Unilever has been appointed as Vice-President. He will support the President, David Webster of Safeway.

The Vice-President takes on this role at an exciting time for IGD as we develop our products and services into Europe.

Iain Ferguson joined Unilever in 1977 as a graduate trainee and enjoyed a variety of roles within the organisation, both here and overseas, before becoming Chairman of Birds Eye Wall’s in 1995. He was appointed to his current role, Senior Vice President Corporate Development for Unilever, in April of this year.

IGD Chief Executive, Joanne Denney OBE, said, ” We are delighted to welcome Iain as our Vice-President. He has been a keen supporter of IGD over the years and a valued member of our Policy Issues Council for six years. I am sure that he will make an excellent ambassador for IGD and I, and the whole team at IGD, look forward to working closely with him.”

Unilever won the IGD President’s Cup in 2000. This is awarded to the company that has made the biggest contribution to supporting and assisting IGD in achieving its aims over the preceding year.
