UK frozen food retailer Iceland Foods is considering rolling out its stores across Eastern Europe, the company confirmed today (25 February).
The group has been mulling its options in the Polish, Czech and Hungarian markets, a spokesperson confirmed.

In an earlier interview with the Daily Mail, Iceland chief executive Makcolm Walker said: “Frozen food barely exists in Eastern Europe and the question is: ‘does this mean there is no market or a big market?’ Lifestyles are changing and there could be a big opportunity.”
The company confirmed that it has already met with potential franchise partners.
