Andrew Pritchard FCA, 42, has been appointed Managing Director of the Group’s Iceland food retailing business with immediate effect. Andrew Pritchard joined the company in 1983 and has been an Executive Director of Iceland Group since 1995, undertaking a range of financial and operational roles. He has been Group Finance Director since the merger with Booker in June 2000, prior to which he was Group Finance Director and Joint Managing Director of Iceland’s food retailing subsidiary.
Andrew Pritchard will be succeeded as Group Finance Director by Bill Hoskins FCA, 48, who has been appointed an Executive Director of Iceland Group plc with effect from 15 January 2001. Bill Hoskins was previously finance director of Wickes plc which he joined in 1996 from Laporte plc where he was also finance director. Prior to that he worked for BAT Industries plc and Ernst & Young. Iceland Group confirms that there are no details which require to be disclosed under paragraph 6F.2b)- g) of the UKLA Listing Rules with respect to Bill Hoskins.
Russell Ford has decided, following the appointment of Bill Grimsey as Chief Executive, to leave the company. His departure has been mutually agreed.
Charles Wilson, an Executive Director of Iceland Group and Managing Director of the Group’s Booker cash-and-carry business, who gave notice of his resignation on 13 November 2000 to join Arcadia Group, will leave the company with immediate effect. His responsibilities at Booker will be split between Ken Bootyman, Shaun Birrell and Mike Camp, and they will report directly to the Group Chief Executive Bill Grimsey until a new Managing Director has been appointed.
