Independent Foods has recalled batches of one of its pies because they contain ingredients not listed on the packaging.

The UK-based food group has, according to a statement on the Food Standard Agency’s website, withdrawn batches of I’s Pies chilled and frozen Smoked Haddock pie with mustard and leek.

The products contain celery, which is not clearly shown on the label, the FSA said.

The FSA has advised customers who may be allergic to celery not to eat the product.

The products recalled are I’s Pies chilled Smoked Haddock pie with mustard and leek with a best before date of 8 September 2007 and I’s Pies frozen Smoked Haddock pie with mustard and leek with a best before date 4 February 2008.
