The UK’s Food and Drink Federation has backed guidance from the Food Standards Agency designed to help firms respond more effectively to food incidents.
FDF director of communications Julian Hunt said today (18 April) that the body had worked closely with the FSA on drawing up the guidelines.
Hunt said: “Sharing experience and promoting good practice across the industry should help to minimise the number of incidents and help deal with them effectively if they occur. We expect the guidance to continue to be refined in light of any further experience.”
