The founders of UK cereal group Jordans have taken full control of private-label supplier European Oat Millers.

David and Bill Jordan, who owned 50% of EOM, have bought out fellow investors Moez and Naseem Karsan for an undisclosed sum.

The Jordans and Karsans formed EOM 30 years ago. The company, based in the UK, produces private-label breakfast cereals for retailers in the country and in Europe. It also has “brand partnerships to produce for well-known brands”, a spokesperson said.

Moez Karsan, who worked with the Jordans at their namesake cereal firm in the 1980s, said he and his wife wanted to “focus our time on other pursuits and family interests”.

“It cements a friendship that has lasted for over 30 years and I know the company will go from strength to strength under their stewardship,” he said.

Bill Jordan said EOM’s management, including MD Alk Brand, would be backed with “an investment programme to create substantial additional capacity in our milling business”.
